The fourth game of the 50th Judan title match was played on 18 April 2012 in Osaka.
The title holder, Iyama (black) beats the challenger, Cho U (Kisei) by resignation and successfully defends Judan title by 3-1.
The full results of the series are given as follows:
Game 1(1 March): Iyama (White) wins by resignation
Game 2(19 March): Iyama (black) wins by resignation
Game 3(5 April): Cho U (black) wins by resignation
Game 4(18 April): Iyama (black) wins by resignation
At the final round of the 67th Honinbo league, Iyama Yuta (Tengen, Judan) defeated Hane Naoki (Gosei) by resignation and he will play for Honinbo title match for his first time. The first game of the 67th Honinbo title match will be held on 15 and 16 May in Kyoto. This year is the 400th anniversary since the first Honinbo, Honinbo Sansa, was accepted as the first professional go player by Tokugawa Shogunate (Tokugawa government). The ceremonial event will be arranged and all of the past Honinbo title holders will attend the event on 14 May 2012 in Kyoto.

The award ceremony for the 41th Okura Kishichiro prize and the 45th Kido prize and New Pro Shodan award were held on 27 March 2012 at The Nihon Ki-in. Okura Kishichiro prize was established to honor the person(s) who made huge contribution to the promotion of go in Japan or in the world. Kido prize is to honor the professional players who have achieved excellent results in their tournaments.
Daiwa Securities Cup which is the online and informal tournament will become the official tournament from The 8th Daiwa Securities Cup which begins from May 2012. The professional players of The Kanasi Ki-in will be qualified to play on the tournament from The 8th Tournament!
